It's the first Monday in May, which means the Euphoria star was one of the many A-list stars expected to attend the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual fundraiser. But much to fans' dismay, the 29-year-old was nowhere to be found at the May 4 "Costume Art"-themed soiree. So, why did Zendaya—a usual mainstay at the event—decide to skip this year's Met Gala? As The Drama actress' stylist Law Roach simply told Zuri Hall during Life From E!: Met Gala 2026 of her absence, "She's busy." While Law didn't elaborate on what TV or film projects might be keeping the Emmy winner hard at work, he did reflect on his client's undeniable impact on the Met Gala fashion scene during the exclusive interview. "Our looks have been special, but what I've seen a lot of this weekend is the Cinderella look," he reflected, referencing Zendaya's 2019 look. "It was my first Met Gala. It was her kind of departing this Disney image and going on to be a woman. That would always be special to me." And while Law had a lot more free time heading into this year's gala, the preparations for his clients usually take nearly half a year. "It all starts with what the designer says the client is going with," he shared on Reddit April 30. "Once that's figured out, we just have a conversation about inspiration, and then I take it back to my team."
