Watch: Knicks handle Cavaliers in Game 4 to reach NBA...
Cleveland actually got on the board first, but the Knicks quickly took control of the matchup. Efficient shooting combined with tough defense turned Monday’s Game 4 into a massacre. After 12 minutes, New York led 38-26. James Harden and Jarrett Allen in particular were struggling to get going and the Knicks didn’t let up. New York got points from nearly everyone as they built on their lead. The Knicks led by 19 at halftime and it only got worse from that point on. In the third quarter, Cleveland’s offense was way out of sync, going 1-for-9 from beyond the arc while giving up seven turnovers in the period. New York’s lead ballooned all the way to 45 points down the stretch as Cleveland showed virtually no signs of life in the second half. With five players scoring 15 points or more, Karl-Anthony Towns led the way for the Knicks with 19 points, 14 rebounds two steals and two blocks. For Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell was the lone bright spot with 31 points and four rebounds on 9-of-18 shooting.
