Over a month after Tommy Lee Jones’ daughter died at age 34, her death was determined to be an “accident,” caused by the “toxic effects of cocaine,” the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in San Francisco, Calif. told People on Feb. 17. Victoria was found dead at a hotel in San Francisco, Calif., on Jan. 1. Officials from the city’s fire department confirmed to E! News on Jan. 2 that they responded to a medical emergency at 2:52 a.m. local time on New Year’s Day. Upon arrival, paramedics performed an assessment and pronounced the person dead at the scene. The San Francisco Fire Department then turned the case over to the medical examiner and San Francisco Police Department. Following the actress’ tragic death, Tommy Lee, 79, released a statement on behalf of their family, saying, "We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers.
