The Tesla Roadster can fly...
The Tesla Roadster can fly, or at least, fall with style, thanks to built-in rockets. The Tesla Roadster event showed off the vehicle’s ability to stick upside down to a ceiling and flip over Tesla’s line-up of vehicles. On October 15, 2026, Tesla unveiled the Roadster in a livestream event that beggars belief. After a brief introduction, Tesla CEO Elon Musk cut to a video feed showing the Roadster facing a massive curving wall. It proceeded to drive up the wall and stick to the ceiling. A few moments later, the unmanned Roadster drove up the wall, off the ceiling, and performed what can only be described as a barrel roll using jets of air, before landing safely on the ground. It utilized the jets on the underside of the chassis to launch it into the area, and then jets on the sides to perform the in-air flip, before using the underside jets again to land safely. The official Tesla X account notes that “every usable void in the car is packed with Carbon Fiber Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPVs). More compressed gas on board = more flight time.” Tesla Roadster does one more jump in final demo. #Tesla #TeslaRoadster $TSLA https://t.co/ZYVWkW7nBY — Shacknews (@shacknews) October 16, 2026 Musk stated that the Roadster is expected to enter production in 2028.
