While her arrival came as a surprise, it wasn’t totally unexpected, as the star had recently released her new song for the film’s soundtrack, the country-tinged “I Knew It, I Knew You.“ While chatting with others in attendance, Swift posed for a photo with the cast of the highly-anticipated film. This week, Swift made history when the song received playlist pickups from all Mediabase-monitored country stations — making the track the first song by a female artist to ever close out the panel on impact in the very first week. Notably, the historic marker arrives as we head into the 20th anniversary of her debut single, “Tim McGraw” on June 19, which also happens to be the same day Toy Story 5 hits theaters. In an earlier Instagram post, Swift shared insight behind the making of the song, which pulls inspiration from the Pixar series’ beloved character Jessie. “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once,” Swift wrote alongside a video of herself as a little girl wearing a cowgirl hat and boots. The singer said being a Toy Story fan since she was five years old “is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond.” The Pope and Bad Bunny Linked Up in Spain The Pope and the Pop Star Charisma Madarang Jay-Z and Eminem to Reunite on Rakim Album With First Track Together in 25 Years Duel of the Iron Mic Preezy Brown Chris Brown Settles 'Monalisa' and 'Sensational' Lawsuit from Lyricist Royalties War Nancy Dillon Sturgill Simpson’s ‘Got That Hunter Biden Energy’ — and Hunter’s a Fan Jon Blistein James Blood Ulmer, Innovative Guitarist Who Fused the Avant-Garde to Blues, Dead at 86 Go to PMC.com Most Popular 'Top Gun: Maverick' Actor James Handy Killed by Girlfriend's Son Inside the UFC's $60 Million Made-for-TV White House Gambit Mila Kunis’ Swimsuit Video Shows Secret Friend Group That Consists of Two Controversial Stars Mega Gallery Pace is Dropping Some 50 Artists, 50 Staff in 'Model Correction' You might also like Directors Guild of America Reaches Four-Year Deal With Major Studios 3 hours ago While You Wait for Amazon Prime Day, These Early Deals Are Worth Adding to Cart This Weekend 2 hours ago Goldwin Opens Plaza 66 Flagship in Shanghai 2 weeks ago The Best Case for Competition in Streaming?
