Authorities previously said there were multiple shooters, but no more information has been provided about any additional suspects. The five victims were between 17 and 23 years old. Four of them, including one 21-year-old man in critical condition, were not students at Virginia State University. The fifth person was a 20-year-old student who was released from the hospital after sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The identities of the victims have not been released yet. The shooting unfolded around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, two days before the fall semester was scheduled to start. Classes are still set to begin on Monday, as the university has not announced any cancellations or postponements.
