No Catchy Nickname Smartest(1) Funniest(0) 34 minutes ago Some news sites in Japan reported it as magnitude 8.2, but either way it's pretty large. Tsunamis reported so far in Japan have been no more than 20cm, but Chiba and other places may be getting waves of up to a meter. Yes, but they haven't reported it using the Japanese scale as far I know, only magnitude. I did just learn that although the Japanese scale only goes up to 7, it actually has 10 increments: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, weak 5, strong 5, weak 6, strong 6, 7. I find it interesting that A) there's a zero, and B) they didn't just make it go from 1 to 10. fatassbastard Smartest(0) Funniest(0) under a minute ago Displayed 7 of 7 comments Enable JavaScript for Fark in order to vote for entries.
