KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI — Several school districts and colleges in the Kalamazoo area will be closed on Friday, Jan. 23 due to severe winter weather. Kalamazoo County is under a winter weather advisory and severe weather advisory through Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, respectively, for snow accumulation and extreme cold, according to the National Weather Service. Kalamazoo Public Schools was previously scheduled to be a day off for students on Friday as it is a records day. Multiple Kalamazoo-area school districts have already been closed for one or more days this week due to winter weather.
