Former Minnesota safety Koi Perich commits to Oregon...
For the second year in a row, Oregon is adding the No. 1 safety transfer. Former Minnesota safety Koi Perich committed to transfer to UO on Monday. He has two seasons of eligibility remaining. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Perich had 82 tackles (three for loss) with one sack, two pass breakups, one interception and one forced fumble this season. He also averaged 6.56 yards on 18 punt returns, had seven catches for 89 yards and rushed for nine yards. As a true freshman in 2024, Perich had 46 tackles (2.5 for loss) with five interceptions, three pass breakups and one forced fumble and averaged 9.5 yards per punt return and 19.63 yards per kickoff return. A former four-star recruit out of Esko High School (Minnesota) in 2024, Perich was the No. 70 overall prospect and No. 5 safety in the 247Sports Composite. Perich is the ninth transfer to Oregon this offseason, joining former Nevada punter Bailey Ettridge and kicker Keaton Emmett, Western Michigan long snapper RJ Todd, Penn State tight end Andrew Olesh, Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola, Yale tackle Michael Bennett III, UAB receiver Iverson Hooks and UAB defensive back Carl Williams IV. His addition gives the Ducks 77 projected scholarship players in 2026.
