Carrie Anne Fleming, actress from 'Supernatural,' dies at 51...
Carrie Anne Fleming, the actress who played Karen Singer on "Supernatural" and Candy on "iZombie," has died. She was 51. The actress reportedly died on Feb. 26, from cancer, her rep confirmed to US Weekly. Her "Supernatural" costar Jim Beaver told Variety that Fleming died from breast cancer complications; the actor, who portrayed her husband Bobby Singer on the show, first revealed her death on BlueSky. "Carrie passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 51 due to cancer. She died peacefully with her loved ones by her side. She is survived by her daughter," the Canadian actress' rep told US Weekly in a statement, Sunday, March 22. "It was a great privilege to have known Carrie. She was a beautiful soul, inspiring, and above all, kind. She will be greatly missed." Her agency, Integral Artists, remembered Fleming as a "force of nature." "Her positivity, sense of humor, and calm disposition humbled us," the agency wrote on Instagram Sunday. "We are so grateful to have known her, she will be missed immensely." Fleming began her career in the '90s with several uncredited roles, including "Showgirl No. 5" and "Runway Model No. 1." In the 2000s, she secured guest-starring roles in various TV shows, including "Smallville," "The L Word," "Masters of Horror" and portrayed Maia's biological mother, Mary Rutledge, in CBS's sci-fi series "The 4400." In 2006, Fleming appeared as "dying nurse" on the hit CW dark fantasy series "Supernatural." She would go on to take over the role of Bobby Singer's demon-possessed late wife Karen, who was first played by Elizabeth Marleau in a Season 3 nightmare scene. Fleming's Karen is resurrected and re-killed in Season 5 and appears to Bobby in a coma in Season 7. By 2015, Fleming was starring in another CW series, the supernatural crime dramedy "iZombie." She played Candy Baker, who is turned into a Zombie after having sex with the series' main villain and her boss, Blaine DeBeers. She made several recurring minor appearances in the role as Blaine's employee through Season 5. "iZombie" was Fleming's last television role by 2019, and one of her last credits outside of shorts in 2019 and 2025, according to IMDb.
