At least five people were killed Monday when a Mexican navy plane crashed near Galveston, Texas, Mexico’s Navy said in a statement. The Mexican navy said the plane — a King Air ANX 1209 aircraft that was carrying four military personnel and four civilians — was conducting a medical transport in coordination with the Michou y Mau Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting Mexican children with burn injuries.
